BIOGRAPHY

Dave Wong obtained his Bachelor of Laws and Master of Laws in Human Rights with Distinction from the University of Hong Kong, where he also completed the Postgraduate Certificate in Laws. Dave joined the firm as a trainee solicitor in 2020 and was qualified as a solicitor in Hong Kong in 2022.

Dave’s practice focuses on criminal defense. He has experience in handling trials, mitigations and other applications in court either as sole advocate or as instructing solicitor. He frequently attends legal visits with clients at the Police, the Labour Department, the Independent Commission Against Corruption, the Immigration Department and other law enforcement agencies. He has also assisted clients in making representations to the Department of Justice for plea-bargaining or seeking binding over orders.

Dave is developing a specialty in construction-related regulatory and compliance law and in defending departmental summonses. He has represented leading contractors in court as a trial and appellate advocate (led by Kenneth Ng).

Dave’s practice in civil matters includes personal injuries litigation, contractual disputes, conveyancing and tenancies, wills and probate, employment law and family law.

Dave is fluent in English, Cantonese and Mandarin.
